Risk managers in our company play a pivotal role in the credit risk ecosystem by managing organisational relationships with credit reporting bodies and ensuring data integrity, compliance, and strategic use of credit bureau information.
This position is responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance with Australian and New Zealand credit reporting frameworks while supporting the development of data-driven risk strategies across customer acquisition, account management, and collections.
Main Responsibilities- Bureau Relationship & Contract Management: Manage contracts, service level agreements, and performance reviews with major Australian and New Zealand credit bureaus to ensure optimal partnerships.
- Data Submission & Compliance: Guarantee accurate and timely submission of consumer credit data in line with CCR obligations to prevent any regulatory issues.
- Bureau Data Governance & Quality: Continuously monitor the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data sent to and received from CRBs to maintain high-quality data sets.
- Credit Risk Strategy Support: Partner with risk modelling and credit policy teams to enhance the use of bureau data in the credit strategy and provide valuable insights into bureau data trends, credit file behaviours, and industry benchmarks.
- Audit, Reporting & Regulatory Engagement: Prepare regular internal reports on bureau data quality, reporting volumes, and compliance performance, support internal audits, regulatory inquiries, and external reviews related to credit reporting obligations, and liaise with legal, compliance, and privacy teams to ensure end-to-end adherence to regulatory standards.
