About This Role

We're seeking a talented and dedicated individual to fill the position of Executive Chef Assistant. As an Executive Chef Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while working in our fast-paced kitchen environment.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, dicing, and measuring food products.
  • Execute cooking techniques and methods under the guidance of senior chefs.
  • Follow established recipes and instructions for the preparation and presentation of dishes.
  • Assist in the assembly and plating of dishes, ensuring they meet established standards for portion size and presentation.
  • Follow kitchen safety rules and guidelines, including the safe use of kitchen equipment and handling of hot items.

You'll Need:

  • Trade qualification - Certificate IV in Cookery
  • Previous experience in a luxury 5-star environment is desirable
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • MUST have full working rights within Australia
  • Ability to pass a federal police background security check
