
Kinship Family Support Specialist

Job Overview:
The Kinship Engagement Worker is a pivotal role in the Placement Coordination Unit, responsible for implementing kinship care models in Victoria. The worker will provide flexible support to kinship carers and serve as a key contact point, collaborating closely with Child Protection to support case plan goals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality case practice and support services to kinship carers;
- Building connections across the department and with external stakeholders to facilitate partnerships;
- Contributing to service development and new initiative/policy implementation;
Key Requirements:
- A strong understanding of kinship care models and their application in Victoria;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with kinship carers and other stakeholders;
- A collaborative approach to work, with the ability to work effectively with Child Protection and other teams;
- A commitment to providing high-quality support services to kinship carers;
