Marine Sales Trainee Role Overview

Are you a customer-focused individual with a passion for boating? Do you enjoy working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment?

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Marine Sales Trainee to join our sales division. As a key member of the team, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting customers and responding to phone inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
  • Assisting customers with boat, engine, parts, and accessory sales, ensuring excellent customer service at all times
  • Maintaining and growing client relationships through regular communication and follow-up
  • Contributing to the upkeep and presentation of the showroom, front yard, sales office, and stock areas
  • Attending training days, on-water events, and boat shows to enhance product knowledge and build industry connections

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • Excellent customer service skills, with a strong ability to communicate effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong computer and internet skills, including proficiency in sales software and other relevant systems
  • Enthusiasm, self-motivation, and a high standard of personal presentation, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace
  • Attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of work
  • Reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic and willingness to adapt to changing priorities
  • A genuine interest in boating and a willingness to learn and take direction from experienced colleagues
  • Ability to work effectively in a team or autonomously, with a flexible approach to meeting deadlines and achieving targets

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and attractive commission structure. The roster includes every second Saturday. If you are a motivated and customer-focused individual with a passion for boating, we encourage you to apply.
