Project Director Job Description:

A seasoned Project Director is required to collaborate with critical clients, ensuring they receive premium service.

  • About the Role:
  • The ideal candidate will drive a high-performance culture into all resources and be accountable for overall project delivery.
  • The role involves interacting with external partners with a focus on agreement, planning, and quality.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a client champion, establishing client needs and delivering excellent experiences by resolving client issues and delivering quality and timeliness.
  • Understand the client business context and the impacts the project has on successful business outcomes.
  • Responsible for leading the end-to-end planning and delivery of medium-sized projects that represent significant benefit and/or risk to clients throughout the lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain strong and proactive client service relationships across 'owned' contracts for project delivery.
  • Support and mentoring to Project Management Professionals assigned to the project to upskill knowledge and experience.
  • Manage escalations and work allocation, coordinate and manage work packages of Project Management Professionals.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven years of project management experience within networking/infrastructure projects is essential.
  • Relevant Project/Programme Management Certification - Prince2, APMP, ITIL qualification, Risk Management Qualification or 6 Sigma.
  • Should have prior experience working with global enterprise clients and managing end-to-end project delivery.
  • Significant experience of leading and delivering complex projects, requiring management of varying timeframes.
  • High degree of business, client management, and commercial acumen.
  • Understanding and experience of ITIL Functions.
  • Experience in delivering Cisco ISE and Cisco Networking projects/infra projects.
  • Experience with Cloud, AWS, and Azure projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to connect with stakeholders and be seen as a Collaborative Partner, Solution-Focused Achiever, Client Champion, and a Team Coach.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
