VHD Studio is a renowned building and interior design company.

We have extensive expertise in Education facilities, Commercial buildings, Industrial Design, and Multi Residential Projects.

Our team is based in Toowoomba and has a second office in Brisbane, enabling us to deliver designs throughout South Queensland.

The Role Overview

This senior position oversees all phases of the design project from initial client interaction and design through to the delivery of completed construction documentation.

  1. Client Management & Schematic Design:
  • Develop schematic designs that meet clients' briefs with constant feedback to ensure efficiency.
Design Documentation:
  • Develop building design documentation for projects to enable their construction.
  • Produce detailed finishes and fixtures schedules to support design documentation packages.
Design Management:
  • Coordinate other consultants required to complete the project.
  • Assist in developing design packages to support applications for statutory approvals.
About You

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  1. A minimum of 6 years' experience in this field.
  2. Proficiency in design software, including Autodesk Revit at a high level.
  3. Skilled interpretation of architectural plans and technical documents.
  4. Current knowledge of BCA/NCC, industry legislation, codes, and standards.
  5. Strong organisational skills, including time management within tight deadlines.
  6. Microsoft Office proficiency at a high level.
