Respecting culture and maintaining its integrity is crucial for health and development. Traditional Aboriginal culture is inherently relational and interconnected, viewing individuals as living in relationships with family, community, land, and spiritual beings, guided by lores and dreaming. Interventions should respect these strong connections, and case workers should adopt a holistic approach to child and family needs, avoiding feelings of isolation.
Required Skills and QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly children in out-of-home care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building trust and rapport with families and communities. A degree in social work or a related field is preferred.
BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary package, access to training and professional development opportunities, and a supportive team environment.
