At Southern Support Family, we are seeking an experienced and compassionate Aged Care Assistant to provide high-quality care and support to our clients.
About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking individual who can assist with daily living activities, such as showering, bathing, and preparing meals. You will also be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our clients, monitoring their well-being, and reporting any changes or concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including showering, bathing, and dressing
- Prepare nutritious meals that meet dietary requirements and promote healthy eating habits
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to health and safety protocols
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, promoting social interaction and mental well-being
- Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to management
- Perform domestic tasks, such as cleaning and laundry, to maintain a comfortable living environment
Requirements:
- Experience working in aged care or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and flexible with variable shift commitments
- Certificate III in Individual Support or higher (desired)
- Valid police clearance
