Medical Oncology ConsultantAbout the Role

The Medical Oncology Consultant is responsible for delivering top-tier clinical care to patients in the Medical Oncology Department.

This involves excelling in both individual performance and leadership within a multidisciplinary care framework, including engaging with medical students, trainee medical officers, and relevant Nursing and Allied Health professionals.

Additionally, they participate in clinical audit, quality and safety management, clinical risk assessment, research endeavors, and ongoing medical education initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients in the Medical Oncology Department.
  • Engage in teaching and mentoring of medical students, trainee medical officers, and relevant healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and research projects.
Requirements
  • Registration with AHPRA and a minimum of 12 months recent experience in Medical Oncology.
  • Ongoing RACP training program participation within six months of completing fellowship.
  • Holding or being eligible for FRACP qualification.
  • Competent Authority Pathway eligibility for IMGs from the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, and NZ.
  • RACP interview date confirmation for IMGs.
  • Assessment and substantial comparability determination by RACP for IMGs.
