Child Welfare Specialist

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team in various locations across the Murrumbidgee region.

  • Work collaboratively with families, providing support and guidance to address safety and well-being concerns.
  • Develop strong relationships with community agencies, engaging in effective problem-solving strategies.
  • Formulate and implement individualized plans for families, ensuring their unique needs are met through home visits and other interventions.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop comprehensive safety plans.
  • Manage complex cases, working closely with high-needs clients and their families.
  • Participate in court processes, including document preparation and attendance.
  • Engage in regular supervision and professional development opportunities.
Key Qualifications
  • A relevant diploma or degree is preferred, however applicants without a relevant qualification must have at least two years' experience working with vulnerable children and their families.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A valid driver's license and current Working with Children clearance are essential.
  • Documented verification of Aboriginality is required.
