Asset Management Coordinator Job Overview

The Asset Management Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting strategic planning by ensuring accurate data collection, lifecycle analysis, and compliance with standards and regulations.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Town's Asset Management Plan and policies. This includes managing and analyzing asset and geomatics databases, performing lifecycle and condition assessments, and conducting field inspections to maintain asset registry using tools such as GIS, Excel, and Citywide.

Additionally, you will develop best practices for asset rehabilitation, renewal, and performance measurement, collaborate with departments to establish risk management and service level standards, and prepare reports and recommendations for senior staff and Council.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain the Town's Asset Management Plan and policies.

  • Monitor capital project expenditures, reconcile variances, and prepare journal entries.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Post-secondary education in finance, accounting, GIS, civil engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience:
  • Experience in municipal finance or engineering, focusing on capital infrastructure.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in GIS technologies, spatial database modeling, and asset management software.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of municipal practices, engineering standards, and legislation.
