About the Role

As a Trade Instructor at Serco, you will be responsible for the daily management of the inmate Work Detail. This involves training inmates in their roles, undertaking competency assessments, and providing support for inmates to participate in trade training opportunities. You will be responsible for managing the quality of the work undertaken, maintaining communication with community partners, and communicating operational issues with the Centre.

Provide support for inmates to participate in trade training opportunities

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a trade certificate or equivalent in Agriculture, Horticulture, Grounds Maintenance, or a Construction-based trade. You will also need to have a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, or be willing to undertake training to obtain this accreditation. Additionally, you will need to have a minimum of 5 years post-trade experience and developed production and customer service skills. You will also need to demonstrate a commitment to Serco's values and the rehabilitation process, and maintain a high level of integrity and ethical behavior.
