Kitchen Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at Clarence Correctional Centre. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the kitchen, supervising and guiding inmates in enhancing their skills, and contributing to the safety, security, and rehabilitation of inmates in line with Serco's operating principles.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate staff and inmates in the kitchen area to ensure efficient production and high-quality service standards are met.
- Oversee inventory management and kitchen equipment maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Lead the development of inmates' work skills and rehabilitation, promoting post-release employment prospects and contributing to their personal growth.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff and inmates.
- Supervise day-to-day kitchen operations, promoting Serco's values and maintaining a positive work culture.
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or willingness to obtain).
- Certificate III in Correctional Practice (or willingness to obtain).
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience in a commercial kitchen or similar environment.
- Knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety requirements and experience in maintaining a safe working environment.
