About the Role

As a key member of Dixon Appointments, you will play a pivotal role in delivering impactful experiences that engage students across campuses. Reporting to the Director, you will oversee the strategic and operational delivery of student events, leading a team to create unforgettable experiences at a world-ranked university.

This position is instrumental in shaping initiatives that build a sense of belonging and celebrate diversity. You will be responsible for leading exciting events that bring students together, fostering a culture of inclusivity and community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning and Execution: Lead the planning and execution of student-focused events and programs across campuses, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees.
  • Team Management: Manage the Events team, focusing on operational excellence, professional development, and effective communication.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Monitor budgets, conduct risk assessments, and maintain compliance with policies and procedures to ensure a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all programs and services, fostering a sense of belonging among students from diverse backgrounds.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in event and project leadership with measurable outcomes, demonstrating the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with stakeholder management expertise, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize tasks effectively.
Working Arrangements

This is a full-time opportunity with an immediate start date. The position involves a hybrid working arrangement, with some travel required to outer campuses in the Eastern Suburbs. You will be based at our campus located in Hawthorn (Glenferrie Station).

Estimated Salary: $72,000 per annum, depending on experience.
