About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled AML Operations Manager to join our team at Bank of Queensland. As a key member of our AML team, you will be responsible for leading the AML monitoring and screening function, ensuring our AML/CTF operational goals are met with excellence.

Your leadership will be key in maintaining the high quality of our operational delivery, working closely with SMEs in the space, and supporting the leaders in your team.
You will be at the forefront of assessing potential AML/CTF threats, designing and implementing effective processes, and monitoring compliance while liaising with stakeholders. Investigating financial crimes related to the bank's activities will be part of your mission, as well as staying ahead of emerging AML/CTF trends and methodologies.
About You
We are looking for a leader with a proven track record in managing teams within an AML/investigations environment. You should have a deep understanding of AML/CTF legislation and AUSTRAC reporting requirements, within the banking industry preferred but not necessary.
Strong operational leadership experience, managing a large team, and your ability to engage and manage stakeholders, including business partners, regulators, and external law enforcement departments, will be crucial. We value highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent negotiation abilities.
