Senior Power Electronics Engineer

Relectrify is seeking a highly skilled Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Innovation team, you will be responsible for developing power electronics circuits and systems for next-generation battery storage technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-power electronics systems meeting schedule and BOM cost targets;
- Develop power and control circuits, cooling, insulation, EMI management, control and fault management;
- Release design documentation;
- Prioritize and schedule activities in power electronics development;
- Pull/push information from the cross-functional team as required to deliver systems;
- Hold informal design reviews and resolve technical issues with input from the team.
Requirements:
Must-have experience:
- Bachelor/Masters/PhD in electrical/electronic engineering;
- 10+ years industry experience in power electronics development >2kW and 230Vac;
- Experience in the design of high current switching circuits incl. gate drive, snubbing, current sensing;
- Highly skilled in circuit schematic/layout;
- Experience with insulation coordination and EMC compliance;
- Experience in thermal analysis and design of cooling systems;
- Experience with fault detection, protection and management;
- Experience defining/specifying digital control and protection of power electronic circuits;
- Experience propagating technical knowledge via mentoring.
Nice-to-have experience:
- Experience in FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, HAZOP, JSA;
- Well-versed in Altium Designer schematic/layout;
- Highly skilled in SMT soldering and rework;
- Experienced in high-frequency magnetics inductor/transformer design;
- Expertise in microgrid applications.
