Strategic Business Partnership Role

The position of Broker Success Manager plays a pivotal role within our state team, focused on empowering loan market brokers to grow their businesses.

This leadership position extends beyond coaching, requiring the ability to strategically partner with brokers, provide business advisory services, and drive performance enhancements.

The Broker Success Manager will work closely with brokers to identify opportunities for growth, enhance settlement volumes, revenue, and diversification by implementing best practices and executing business plans.

This is a relationship-driven role that necessitates strong business acumen, emotional intelligence, and an in-depth understanding of what drives high performance in broking businesses.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Business Coaching and Growth Enablement:
    • Conduct structured business planning sessions to identify areas for improvement and create tailored coaching plans.
    • Deliver coaching based on performance, goals, and business maturity, facilitating peer-group training sessions.
    • Track and support brokers' progress against SMART goals and key milestones.
  • Revenue, Productivity, and Diversification:
    • Identify growth levers, including lead generation, conversion optimization, and referral partnerships.
    • Help brokers develop customer acquisition strategies and increase lifetime value.
    • Drive adoption of diversification strategies across Asset Finance, Commercial, and White Label, utilizing Profit Pulse and benchmarking insights to improve margins and operational efficiency.
  • Compliance and Operational Health:
    • Support brokers in maintaining compliance and safety standards, aiming for an average audit score above 6.0.
    • Drive the adoption and optimal usage of MyCRM and core systems.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless support for brokers.
  • Engagement and Capability Building:
    • Ensure consistent participation in professional development programs and conferences.
    • Collaborate with training specialists to address skills gaps.
    • Promote the use of performance pathways and tools.
  • Internal Collaboration and Broker Advocacy:
    • Serve as the broker's advocate within the organization, addressing needs and blockers.
    • Cultivate relationships with implementation, training, recruitment, and specialist teams to deliver exceptional broker support.

To succeed in this role, you must bring:

  • A strong understanding of mortgage industry economics and business acumen.
  • Proven coaching skills and the ability to influence behavioral and commercial outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the capacity to build high-trust relationships and manage individual coaching sessions.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior financial services, business coaching, or mortgage broking role.
  • Demonstrated experience improving performance across multiple businesses.
  • Cert IV in Finance & Mortgage Broking and/or relevant coaching qualifications (desirable).
  • Strong working knowledge of MyCRM and key broker tools, or ability to upskill rapidly.
