About the Opportunity

Ventia is seeking a skilled High Voltage Operations Specialist to join our team in Sydney, Australia.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high voltage operations and maintenance on Sydney Water's critical assets. This will include breakdown, corrective and preventative maintenance, complex switching operations, isolations and earthing on high voltage assets ranging from 3.3kV to 33kV.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing high voltage maintenance on Sydney Water's assets, including breakdown and corrective work.
  • Conducting complex switching operations, isolations and earthing on high voltage assets.
  • Providing high voltage access permits to co-workers and sub-contractors.
  • Planning and executing monthly high voltage preventative maintenance work.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated field experience in performing maintenance on high voltage equipment and/or performing high voltage switching operations.
  • Experience in construction of high voltage plants or similar.
  • Understanding of high voltage Single Line Diagrams and electrical control wiring diagrams.
  • A current driver's licence and NSW Electrical Supervisors Certificate or Electrical Contractors Licence.

Benefits
