Job Description

As a High Voltage Electrical Testing Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, testing, and servicing high-voltage equipment.

You will work in our Western Sydney team, where we specialize in high-voltage infrastructure works, testing, maintenance, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all tasks in a safe, effective, and productive manner.
  • Adhere to Project Specific Risk Management Plans (PSRMP).
  • Report unsafe practices, safety hazards, injuries, and incidents to your supervisor immediately.
  • Complete Inspection & Testing Procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date paperwork and ensure computer literacy.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards.
  • Maintain ongoing skills development and electrical licensing requirements.
  • Conduct isolations according to Stowe Australia's mandatory 4-stage procedure.
  • Comply with Stowe Australia's Arc Flash Clothing requirements.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of high-voltage testing throughout the employee engagement process.
  • Prior experience in high-voltage switching.
  • Extensive experience in maintaining transformers, switchboards, ring main units, circuit breakers, substation/industrial control systems, and power factor correction equipment.
  • Current unrestricted NSW Electrical License.
  • A self-motivated approach with the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Current CPR & LV Rescue Certificate.
  • Construction Industry General Safety Induction.
  • Current Driver's License.
  • Good communication skills – interpersonal and organizational.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance to work.
  • Contribution to achieving desired outcomes and a positive work culture.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum
