As a Technical Officer, you will be part of a talented team that designs, develops, and maintains advanced sonar systems for naval forces worldwide.

About the Role
  • You will maintain technical knowledge across all subsystems of the Scylla Sonar, ensuring seamless system performance.
  • Maintain equipment in a safe and efficient manner, executing all necessary technical support tasks with precision.
  • Conduct test procedures on applicable equipment and assist in analysis of results, driving continuous improvement.
  • Perform modifications and upgrades to electronic assemblies, electro-mechanical components, and mechanical parts.
  • Lead and execute off-site work as required in support of Submarine Full Cycle Docking tasks.
  • Offer professional advice for improving repair systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Maintain secure network configurations and perform maintenance tasks in our secure labs.
Key Requirements
  • Certification III in Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong understanding of analogue/digital electronic systems and microprocessor-based systems.
  • Previous experience in the Defence Industry, ideally in hardware fault finding.
  • Proficiency in MS Suite applications.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Desirable: Working knowledge of the SCYLLA Sonar.
About Your Qualifications

We're seeking an individual with strong analytical skills and experience in electronic engineering. Prior Defence Industry experience is beneficial, especially in hardware fault finding. Proficiency in MS Suite is also essential. Additionally, excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary for success in this role.
