The Transition and Career Opportunities Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing strategic programs to support young people in accessing meaningful vocational learning, school-based apprenticeships and traineeships, and post-school transition opportunities.

This role involves working closely with families, community organizations, and support services to provide wraparound support that addresses both educational and personal development needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement vocational education and training programs that cater to the diverse needs of young people.
  • Coordinate school-based apprenticeships and traineeships, ensuring seamless transitions into further education, training, or employment.
  • Work collaboratively with community organizations and support services to provide holistic support to young people.
Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Teaching degree qualification or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience in coordinating VET, SBATs, or senior secondary pathways programs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in education, training, or career development of young people.
