As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction and continuous improvement of Mental Health Services in a progressive tertiary facility located in central Brisbane.
The position involves providing high-quality, evidence-informed psychiatric inpatient care directly to patients, while leading a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering exceptional clinical services.
Collaborating closely with other psychiatrists across adult services and key executive leaders across other disciplines, you will ensure an integrated, accountable, and patient-centred approach to mental health care.
In addition to clinical leadership, the role includes supervision and mentoring of medical officers and psychiatry trainees, fostering the next generation of psychiatric professionals.
You will also participate in after-hours service provision across designated locations.
Key Responsibilities• Provide high-quality psychiatric inpatient care to patients
• Lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional clinical services
• Collaborate with other psychiatrists and executive leaders to ensure integrated mental health care
• Supervise and mentor medical officers and psychiatry trainees
• Participate in after-hours service provision
Requirements• Advanced degree in psychiatry or related field
• Experience in clinical leadership and team management
