The Opportunity

As a Senior Finance Analyst at Veolia, you will be responsible for maintaining a complex financial model and working closely with clients to ensure Veolia is delivering on its contracted obligations from a finance perspective.

You will be responsible for monthly payment claim preparation, submission, and verification, as well as all development of financial plans, including budgets, target prices, and forecasts.

This role requires a finance professional who is commercially savvy, an excellent analyst, and a great communicator and relationship manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Completion of monthly payment claim cycles to a high quality level
  • Perform detailed analysis of business performance, including operational cost, unit cost, and unit rates, commodity revenues
  • Drive the financial performance of the contract in partnership with the Program Manager and Finance Manager Resource Recovery QLD
  • Assist in the preparation and review of capital expenditure requests and monitoring and forecasting of ongoing expenditure
  • Support and advise the management team on productivity and efficiency improvements and offer recommendations for reducing operating expenditures

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance and Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience in a similar finance role for a minimum of 3-4 years
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis/reporting within a commercial business partnering capacity
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of P&L drivers of performance
