The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Analyst to join our team at Veolia, responsible for managing our key relationship with the City of Gold Coast. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining a complex financial model, working closely with the client to ensure Veolia's contracted obligations are met from a finance perspective.

You will be responsible for preparing and submitting monthly payment claims, developing financial plans, including budgets, target prices, and forecasts. Additionally, you will perform detailed analysis of business performance, including revenues and costs, and support the effective commercial management of this important business relationship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Completion of monthly payment claim cycles to a high quality level
  • Perform detailed analysis of business performance, including operational cost, unit cost, and unit rates, commodity revenues
  • In partnership with the Program Manager and Finance Manager Resource Recovery QLD, drive the financial performance of the contract
  • Assist in the preparation and review of capital expenditure requests and monitoring and forecasting of ongoing expenditure
  • Support and advise the management team on productivity and efficiency improvements and offer recommendations for reducing operating expenditures
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance and Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience in a similar finance role for a minimum of 3-4 years
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis/reporting within a commercial business partnering capacity
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of P&L drivers of performance
