Machine Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to support production at our plant.

About the Role:

The Machine Operator will be responsible for set-up, production, and quality standards. This includes food safety, product appearance, and production efficiency.

Training will be provided to ensure the ideal candidate has the necessary skills to excel in this role.

  • Operates machine to cut out parts of various specified shapes and sizes from different types of materials
  • Proofreads and understands all paperwork
  • Positions dies into machine, inserts shims between die and push plate to set specified gap, and locks dies into position, using wrenches
  • Places rolls of material in feed holders, turns knobs to synchronize action of feed rolls with die, and threads end of material through feed rolls and die for cutting. Starts machine and inspects sample cuts to determine conformity to specifications
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should have strong problem-solving skills and be able to identify issues within manufacturing and quality processes.

You will work closely with your supervisor/manager to define and resolve problems, as well as recommend improvement processes.
