Family Violence Case Manager

A position is available for an experienced professional to work with migrant, refugee, and culturally diverse women and families who are impacted by domestic and family violence.
The role involves case management, crisis intervention, and advocacy for high-risk situations within these communities.
About the RoleThis is a trauma-informed support position that requires empathy, understanding, and excellent communication skills.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop safety plans to ensure ongoing safety of women and children.
- Deliver crisis intervention and case management services to women affected by domestic and family violence.
- Provide support to Specialist DV Court attendees through ongoing case management between court appearances.
- Advocate and provide information and referrals across legal, housing, health, and community services.
Applicants should have relevant qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field.
- Crisis support experience, risk assessment, and safety planning skills are essential.
- Knowledge of domestic and family violence theories and practices, including trauma-informed approaches, is required.
- Understanding of relevant legislation and regulations is necessary.
