Job Title: Head Of Creative Arts

Overview of the Position:

  • The successful candidate will be an experienced educator and leader who is passionate about teaching and learning, with a focus on creating engaging and dynamic learning experiences for students.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Creative Arts Department within the Secondary School.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of students and promotes high standards of student achievement.
  • Provide instructional leadership and support to teachers within the department.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement assessment, testing, and reporting strategies.
  • Participate in pastoral and co-curricular programs, including student wellbeing initiatives, school camps, and excursions.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated extensive teaching experience and subject knowledge of Creative Arts, including Visual Art, Media, and Photography.
  • Expertise in teaching and leading practices, particularly in curriculum development, evaluation, and writing.
  • Strong leadership and team leading skills, with the ability to motivate and support colleagues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
