Key Account Manager Position

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage key accounts in the life science industry.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute territory plans to achieve significant account and revenue growth.
  • Prospect, nurture, and close quality accounts to meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Track sales-qualified leads, accurately forecast territory performance, and capture market intelligence using CRM.
  • Develop account-based sales strategy to achieve sales growth across products and services.
  • Identify and develop relationships with key stakeholder personnel at target accounts.
  • Prepare and present compelling sales pitches and participate in all sales activities.
  • Coordinate and communicate sales activities and strategies effectively to leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a scientific field.
  • 5-7 years' proven track record selling to academic accounts for life sciences products and/or services.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing territory plans.
  • Strong negotiation skills, proven consultative sales experience, and ability to persuade with scientific data.
  • Ability to travel within Australia and New Zealand (up to 75%).

Optional Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with genomics, epigenetics, metagenomics, and applied markets.
  • Prior sales experience in highly technical fields such as Next Generation Sequencing, pharma, molecular testing, epigenetics, metagenomics, applied science, or chromatin architecture study.
