The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the project management of engineering change projects for LHD, DDG, or AOR class vessels under the Design Support Contractor (DSC) contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project planning, monitoring, and coordination of technical reviews
  • Development of project plans for each engineering change project
  • Coordination of subcontract engagement and controls
  • Project budget and schedule management
  • Development of engineering change process documentation
  • Support to resource planning collaboratively with ACE organisations
  • Application of governance, processes, and standards ensuring compliance with sound systems PMO principles
  • Support for continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • A recognised and relevant university degree in Project Management or Engineering Management
  • Training in project management, work planning, budgeting, and Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Training in technical team management and leadership
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a project management role
  • Proven experience in the delivery of complex engineering programs
  • Experience delivering Commonwealth and Australian Defence Force projects
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of ASDEFCON contracts
  • Flexible and effective in adapting to changing priorities and complexity in a time-constrained environment
