Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pathology Collector to join our team at Healius. As a Pathology Collector, you will play a critical role in collecting blood and non-blood samples from patients, while providing excellent customer service and quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood and non-blood samples from patients with care and attention
- Keep accurate and detailed records of patient samples and test results
- Prepare and package specimens for transport and testing
- Liaise with customers, clinic staff, and couriers to ensure smooth sample collection and delivery
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy or Certificate III in Pathology Collection
- Transferable skills gained in other positions within the healthcare industry highly desirable
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a high level of empathy
- Organized, with strong time management and attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously, sometimes working independently in a solo clinic
- Valid Driver's license and flexibility to travel to multiple clinics
- Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain one
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency, or a valid visa with permission to work
