Pastry Chef de Partie (Conference and Events) Job Description

Sofitel Sydney Wentworth is seeking a talented Pastry Chef de Partie to join our team and help craft a unique experience for our guests. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality pastries and desserts for our conferences and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present high-quality pastries and desserts for conferences and events
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high levels of communication with the culinary team
  • Supervise and prepare all baked goods, pastries, and desserts in accordance with established recipes
  • Operate in accordance with HACCP standards at all times
  • Must have full Australian working rights

Requirements:

  • Several years of experience working in a high-volume 5-star luxury hotel conference and events environment
  • Ability to demonstrate advanced patisserie skills, including chocolate tempering
  • 5-star luxury hotel VIP club experience is essential for this role
  • A team player with good communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Passion for food and quality products and ingredients
  • Adept in using commercial-grade kitchen equipment
