Job Title: Design & Draftsperson

We are seeking a highly skilled Design & Draftsperson to join our creative team at The Creative Store. As a Design & Draftsperson, you will play a pivotal role in the conceptualisation and design of activation builds, ensuring exceptional service and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret client and internal design briefs, translating them into build design concepts that align with client objectives and Agency build practices
  • Develop technical drawings, material & finishes boards, to communicate construction build concepts effectively
  • Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure seamless execution of all builds
  • Set up assembly drawings and floor plans for installation
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and debriefs to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement, contributing to the continuous enhancement of our activation experiences
Requirements:
  • Degree level qualification in drafting or equivalent
  • 3 + years of design experience
  • Skilled in using design software 2D and 3D (AutoCad and Sketchup preferably)
  • CNC programming with AlphaCAM an advantage
  • Adobe Creative Suite (photoshop and illustrator)
  • Google G Suite user experience
  • A strong portfolio showcasing relevant project experience
  • A passion for product development and design
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Have the ability to learn quickly and show a willingness to be hands on
  • Good understanding of manufacturing and woodworking principles
  • An eye for detail, quality control, and cost efficiency
  • Well organised and proficient in time management
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to enable development of good working relationships with the team and clients
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as work autonomously with minimal supervision
