Facilities Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Engineer to join our team at Fujitsu's Homebush Bay Data Centre. As a Facilities Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data centre facilities, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Data Centre Operations: Ensure the efficient and reliable operation of our data centre facilities, including physical and access procedures, IT infrastructure, data centre plant and equipment maintenance, and batch operations.
- Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on data centre equipment and facilities, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Incident Management: Lead and coordinate incident management and supporting procedures, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
- Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and submit regular reports on data centre operations, maintenance, and incident management, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with data centre operations, ensuring the safety and security of personnel, equipment, and data.
- Client and Stakeholder Management: Liaise with clients and service providers as required, ensuring excellent customer service and communication.
- Subcontractor Management: Supervise and manage subcontractors, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to Fujitsu's standards and procedures.
- Qualifications: Electrically qualified by trade or mechanical/controls background.
- Experience: Ideally 2 years of experience working in a data centre or similar environment.
- Skills: Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with data centre operations, maintenance, and incident management, as well as relevant regulations and standards.
