About the Position:

We are seeking an Environmental Manager to oversee our environmental initiatives and compliance efforts. This role will involve providing expert guidance and support across our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Delivering technical expertise for Waste Water Treatment facilities and developing training resources focused on environmental practices.
  2. Leading and implementing various sustainability projects throughout the organization.
  3. Overseeing the collection and management of critical environmental, energy, and sustainability data for regulatory and corporate reporting.
  4. Assisting in the formulation of annual environmental capital expenditure strategies and collaborating with sites on relevant projects.
  5. Adopting a risk-based methodology for environmental compliance, conducting regular assessments, and maintaining the environmental risk register.
  6. Facilitating the identification and reporting of environmental risks and ensuring compliance with state and territory environmental licensing requirements.

Candidate Profile:

  1. Degree qualified in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
  2. Demonstrated experience with effective environmental management systems and methodologies.
  3. Comprehensive understanding of Australian environmental legislation and local regulations, including National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Scheme (NGERS) and National Pollutant Inventory (NPI) obligations.
  4. Experience in the design, execution, and enhancement of Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
