Procurement specialists play a vital role in maintaining the operational efficiency of an organization. In this capacity, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process from start to finish.

The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that all goods are delivered to the distribution centres within the expected time constraints. This includes expediting pre-ordered and back ordered materials, as well as driving best practice end-to-end procurement practices across the organisation.

A key aspect of this role is sourcing and negotiating the most cost-effective rates with new suppliers, while ensuring that suppliers and their subcontractors meet or exceed expectations in regard to safety, environment, quality, price, and delivery requirements.

Effective communication skills are essential in this position, as you will need to proactively liaise between staff and suppliers to resolve any purchasing supply issues.

To succeed in this role, you will require previous purchasing experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work autonomously under pressure. Resources and high-volume purchasing experience are highly regarded.
