Data Platform Architect

We are seeking an exceptional data engineer to lead the design and development of a world-class data platform.

This is a fully remote role that involves significant influence over the technical and strategic direction of our data platform.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of shipping reliable and scalable solutions, with expertise in Python, advanced SQL, and cloud-based tools like Databricks and dbt.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing a modern, high-performing data platform in Azure, focusing on near real-time streaming and high accuracy.
  • Developing and optimizing resilient data pipelines using tools like Databricks, dbt, Python, and SQL.
  • Developing and managing data models and ETL/ELT workflows to ensure data accessibility, accuracy, and reliability.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of backend or data engineering experience with a proven track record of shipping reliable and scalable solutions.
  • Strong expertise with Python (including Pandas) and advanced SQL.
  • Proven experience architecting and building data platforms in a cloud environment preferably in Azure using tools like Databricks and dbt or similar.
