Job Title: Data Solutions Architect

Create impact as a data solutions architect. Join a leading general insurance group in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand to build Intermediate Insurance Australia's data capability, ensuring delivery of data that maximises value for the IIA business.

This role involves working across Technology & Operations (T&O) and the Business to develop data solutions aligned to IIA strategies. You'll provide support to stakeholders such as Pricing, Reporting, Performance, and other teams to continuously improve data quality, reliability, ownership, and utilisation.

A key part of your role will be collaborating with T&O to enhance IIA's data usage and deliver value efficiently. You'll shape the data capability roadmap and ensure alignment with strategic priorities. Driving the adoption of new data tools and technologies to improve efficiency and foster innovation across the team is essential.

You'll be responsible for building expertise within the team by setting standards and providing mentorship. Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, governed, and scalable data solutions is vital, alongside maintaining strong stakeholder engagement throughout the process.

About You
  • 7+ years' experience in data engineering, data modelling, and data analysis
  • Strong proficiency in DBT and GCP technologies (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage etc.)
  • Experience with SQL, Python, and other scripting languages
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with diligence
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or technical related degree or business equivalent
  • Relevant industry experience and/or qualifications
