Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ecology practice manager to lead our Queensland team.

This role will involve balancing team leadership with project delivery, working on complex projects and collaborating with industry leaders and client managers.

The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise in ecology and conservation, excellent communication and leadership skills, and 7+ years of consulting experience in biodiversity impact assessment, environmental offsets, and mine rehabilitation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality ecological advice across all stages of infrastructure and natural resource projects;
  • Supporting and mentoring the team;
  • Collaborating with industry leaders and client managers on complex projects;
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have significant field experience, including rehabilitation monitoring, protected plants and marine plant surveys, threatened ecological community verification, ecological data collection and analysis, managing field teams, etc.

Additionally, they will have experience in developing re-vegetation and vegetation management plans, field verification and GIS mapping of vegetation communities / regional ecosystems, managing spatial datasets, and knowledge of Queensland regional ecosystem framework and Commonwealth environmental offset policies and associated guidelines.
