Senior Business Intelligence Specialist

A key position has arisen to spearhead the development and implementation of business intelligence solutions.
About the Role:
- Develop a comprehensive BI strategy to drive business growth and inform strategic decisions.
- Leverage best practices and frameworks to drive consistency, quality, and scalability across the enterprise.
- Advance the centralized BI report catalogue or portal to improve transparency, reduce duplication, and encourage collaboration.
- Strengthen the BI community of practice, including mentorship of BI champions and cross-functional capability uplift.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable BI solutions that support strategic decision-making.
- Develop initiatives to optimize BI development processes, including automation, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of an enterprise-wide BI strategy and governance policies.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements for BI solution delivery.
- Lead the design and implementation of high-impact BI solutions aligned to strategic business objectives.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in the development of BI skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in BI platforms or data analytics tools.
- Extensive demonstrated experience in leading BI solution creation and enhancement in a complex or regulated environment.
- Track record of designing, delivering, and governing high-impact BI solutions aligned to strategic business needs.
- Deep understanding of business intelligence principles, data modelling, and visualisation best practices.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, security, and quality frameworks as they apply to reporting and analytics.
