Nurse Unit Managers play a pivotal role in guiding nursing staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
This key leadership position oversees daily clinical and resource management, driving continuous improvement and ensuring high-quality patient care in an emergency department setting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading and supporting nursing staff to achieve safe and quality outcomes.
- Managing day-to-day operations, including clinical governance, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Developing and implementing initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
- Supporting recruitment, rostering, and performance management of nursing staff.
- Contributing to the hospital's strategic objectives as part of the management team.
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- Current registration with AHPRA and relevant nursing qualifications.
- Minimum eight years' post-graduate experience, with recent management experience in a hospital setting.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor, develop, and inspire clinical teams.
- Strong financial, human resource, and operational management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
