Job Opportunity: Senior Environmental Advisor

About the Role

The Senior Environmental Advisor plays a key role in supporting operational facilities and contributing to responsible energy production. The position involves implementing and maintaining systems and procedures aligned with environmental management plans and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Environmental Compliance & Systems: Develop, implement, and maintain systems and procedures to ensure compliance with environmental management plans and regulatory requirements.
  • Audit & Reporting: Coordinate internal and external audits, including regulator engagement, and prepare high-quality technical reports.
  • Contractor & Operational Support: Oversee environmental compliance of contractor activities, including during shutdowns.
  • Incident Response & Investigation: Lead investigations into environmental incidents or non-conformances.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Planning: Engage with internal teams, regulators, and other key stakeholders, and contribute to the development and delivery of annual environmental goals and initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of onshore environmental regulations and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing complex technical documentation.
  • Experience working with contractors and resolving environmental or compliance issues.
  • Confidence in engaging with regulators, including audits and reporting.
  • Collaborative mindset, valuing empathy and cultural diversity.
