Project Manager Job Description

This role requires a skilled professional to lead our Global Sourcing projects and strategy development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead sourcing projects and cross-functional, global teams to drive business success.
  • Develop and execute sourcing project plans that meet key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create PowerPoint presentations for utilization in strategic meetings.
  • Calculate supply chain costs including freight, duties, overhead, labor, etc. to inform cost-saving strategies.
  • Maintain effective communication with external providers and internal stakeholders through written and verbal correspondence.
  • Resolve product, supply, or supplier issues through proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Provide analysis and project management support as needed to drive business growth.
Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Math or related field to ensure a strong foundation in industry principles.
  • 8-10 years of experience in sourcing and supply chain to drive strategic decision-making.
  • 3+ years of global sourcing experience in the medical device industry to leverage industry knowledge.
  • A demonstrated track record for achieving significant cost savings results through effective leadership and negotiation.
  • Demonstrated strength in influencing individuals internally/externally and leading cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Applied knowledge in supply chain concepts: logistics, planning, inventory management, sourcing, negotiations, contracts, vendor relationships, etc. to drive business success.
  • Experience operating within and extracting data from ERP systems to inform business decisions.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to create informative presentations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite of products including: Word, Outlook, Access to streamline work processes.
  • Strong verbal and writing skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time, including overnight travel to participate in critical meetings.
