We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Business Partner to join our team at The NRMA. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in enhancing a safe operation and culture across our business units.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will bring a solid understanding and demonstrated experience in workplace safety practices to lead the setting of standards across relevant Business Units by developing, reviewing, and implementing safety standards and procedures, identifying risks, and identifying and addressing opportunities to improve safety management.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement safety standards and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify opportunities to improve safety management.
- Provide technical safety support to Business Units, including SIXT and Roadside BU's.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to foster engagement and participation in safety, compliance, wellbeing, and environmental programs.
- Promote proactive safety management to safeguard the health and wellbeing of employees, contractors, and members, and for the protection of the environment.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Safety Management.
- Minimum of 5 years Safety experience or equivalent.
- Sound knowledge of Safety legislation.
- Sound knowledge of reporting systems and demonstrated experience in incident investigation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and consultation.
- Demonstrated experience in changing safety culture.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to inspire and lead the Safety and Wellbeing agenda across a diverse range of Business Units.
