The Workforce Incentives and Innovation Branch is seeking a skilled Policy Officer to join their team. As a Policy Officer, you will play a key role in improving access to health services in regional, rural, and remote areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program management of new and existing workforce programs and grants
- Develop, manage, and deliver projects, including project plans, evaluations, and reporting
- Interpret, draft, and advise on complex policy and procedural directions
Requirements:
- Experience in program and grants management, including initiation and ongoing management, preferably in the Commonwealth environment
- Experience in briefing against program outcomes and issues
- Well-developed research, analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
What's on Offer:
The successful candidate will be offered an APS6 salary, in line with the Department's Enterprise agreement, and their experience. The position is located in Canberra and offers a 6-month opportunity with the potential for extension.
As this role is with the Federal Government, only Australian citizens who hold a baseline clearance or are willing to obtain one will be considered for this vacancy.
