We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our team at TPG Telecom. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a vital role in managing commercial engagements and driving value for our Fixed and Wireless Networks team.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the portfolio of vendors and their engagements across the Fixed and Wireless Network portfolio, working closely with business owners to deliver optimal value to TPG.
- Demonstrate best practice procurement and implement category strategies across various business areas and spend categories that support the delivery of the TPG business strategies.
- Identify and manage the delivery of savings and cost reduction initiatives without compromising business objectives or quality or service/scope.
- Manage the RFx processes, lead commercial negotiations, and contracting with vendors to ensure optimum outcomes while ensuring that our dealings with vendors meet the highest professional and ethical standards.
- Maintain a consolidated vendor base, leveraging scale and value, and perform supplier performance management.
- Support initiatives related to procurement transformation of processes and systems improvement.
- Procurement Experience: Strong commercial and negotiation skills with procurement experience in the Telecoms industry.
- Proven ability to lead complex RFx processes.
- Category management experience desirable.
- Supplier Performance Management: Experience managing complex supplier contracts and supplier performance.
- Analytical Skills: Proven reasoning skills capabilities.
- Stakeholder Management: Demonstrable record of effective engagement with stakeholders and a well-developed ability to communicate and present to senior management and executive levels.
