The Defence Budget Coordination team is responsible for managing the budget at the Portfolio level.
About Our TeamThis team offers the opportunity to work on high-strategic issues in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, delivering the Defence Budget according to the Commonwealth process.
Responsibilities- Assist with the preparation of key budget submissions and statements;
- Coordinate agency liaison with internal and external stakeholders;
- Work with reasonable autonomy to achieve outcomes;
- Develop budget submissions, prepare statements, and brief senior leadership teams.
- Strong written and oral communication skills;
- An ability to produce quality work within short time frames;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Strong analytical skills;
- A commitment to continuous improvement;
- Knowledge of external budgeting matters and the Cabinet process;
- Experience and/or exposure to financial analysis.
