Job Opportunity

This is a role based in Sydney or Melbourne, requiring at least three days of office work per week.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a robust privacy framework that enables compliance with relevant laws and regulatory requirements across the organisation.
  • Create, review, and maintain privacy policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and provide effective communication and training on requirements.
  • Carry out assessments of privacy related incidents ensuring timely investigation, reporting and resolution.
  • Conduct thorough privacy risk assessments.
  • Monitor and oversee privacy practices to ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws and regulations including the review of privacy incidents and privacy risk assessments as required.
  • Prepare reports on privacy compliance status, incidents, and risk assessments for senior management.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role in regulatory compliance or legal with experience in Australian financial services industry preferred.
  • Experience working in or providing services to a regulated financial services organisation, with a strong understanding of regulatory obligations and the ability to interpret and apply associated legislative requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse and communicate complex matters in a commercially sensible way.
  • Ability to manage deliverables with rapidly changing priorities and demands.
  • Excellent organisational skills and an ability to work to tight deadlines.
