About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative in the Parliament Shop. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to visitors and building occupants, promoting products, and supporting the strategic direction of the Parliamentary Engagement Branch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality customer service to visitors and building occupants, responding to enquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Support the Parliament Shop by promoting products, undertaking point-of-sale transactions, and gift wrapping.
  • Understand and support the strategic direction of the Parliamentary Engagement Branch, and specifically for the E-Commerce and Product Development section.
  • Participate in learning and professional development programs to enrich your knowledge and develop skills.
  • Perform administrative tasks and other duties as required by the management team, aligning to work level standards.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in customer service or sales is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a current working with vulnerable people card and Baseline Vetting (Protected/Restricted) security clearance.
