CIS Manager for Air Force Capability

The role of CIS Manager is a crucial position within the Air Warfare Centre (AWC) that involves formulating requirements, planning and managing the delivery of Communication and Information Systems (CIS) capability functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Defence CIS capabilities and management systems.

As the place that leads and coordinates thinking and planning, we strive to maximise readiness and operational effectiveness, ensuring the integrated force is prepared to fight.
Effective Communication and Information Systems are essential enablers for Air Force operations. This role plays a vital part in delivering required capability outputs and ensuring their successful implementation in support of the warfighter.
Our Ideal Candidate- We seek a candidate with qualifications, knowledge, and experience in delivering CIS capability functions, specifically within the Defence domain.
- Familiarity with Defence CIS management systems or similar platforms is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including scope definition, delivery management, risk identification, and issue resolution, are essential.
- Candidates with innovation experience or creative problem-solving abilities are encouraged to apply.
- A high level of security clearance is mandatory for this role.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary, including the ability to create concise briefings and complex reports.
- Providing high-quality advice to military executives and staff is a key aspect of this position.
Salary: $91,702 - $104,753 per annum + 10% BDCP + up to 15.4% Superannuation
