**Job Overview**

The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) is seeking an exceptional leader to fill the role of Director MQ4 Management Unit (DMQ4MU). This position offers a unique opportunity to drive the sustainment of the new MQ-4C Triton Uncrewed Aircraft System, its associated ground segments, and training systems. As a key member of the Surveillance and Response Systems Program Office (SRSPO), you will play a vital role in delivering cutting-edge aerospace capability outcomes.

About SRSPO

SRSPO ensures the availability and performance of highly complex surveillance and response airborne and related systems for the RAAF. The office acquires and supports common Aircrew Life Support Equipment (ALSE) used on air vehicles operated by the RAAF, Navy, and Army.

The Role

As Director MQ4 Management Unit, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading a multi-disciplinary team comprised of Military and Civilian personnel with expertise in project management, engineering, and integrated logistics support management.
  • Providing strategic leadership across the MQ-4C Triton Enterprise, interpreting operational and capability manager needs to deliver materiel outcomes through effective industry and United States Navy partner engagement.
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring program strategies, performance, plans, and risks throughout the capability lifecycle.

This key leadership role requires strong leadership skills, including the ability to guide high-performing teams in complex aerospace acquisition/sustainment activities. You will have significant experience in developing and mentoring staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and managing performance to achieve strategic and operational goals. Additionally, you will possess proven commercial acumen and exceptional engagement and communication skills, with a track record of achieving alignment across diverse stakeholders.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A proven track record of guiding high-performing teams in complex aerospace acquisition/sustainment activities.
  • Significant experience in developing and mentoring staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and managing performance to achieve strategic and operational goals.
  • Proven commercial acumen and exceptional engagement and communication skills, with a track record of achieving alignment across diverse stakeholders.

Benefits and Remuneration

The salary range for this position is $134,567 - $161,521 + 10% BDCP + up to 15.4% Superannuation. This reflects the company's commitment to providing competitive compensation packages that reflect the complexity and importance of this role.
